(upbeat music) - [Narrator] The word of the week is yule, which is short for yuletide, a winter festival observed by ancient Germanic people.
Some believe yule has pagan roots, even though it is now associated with a Christian holiday.
Maybe that's not surprising since it happens in winter and because so many Christmas traditions originated in Germany.
