- This is, I'll just give this away at the top, I loved this show. I was so delighted by it. This features a real-life mother and son, Asha and Ravi Jain. They're an Indian family, who, she and her husband, raised Ravi in Canada, but this takes us back as they settle on stage in this real-life mother and son conversation to a time where she wanted to get him married. She and his father wanted him to get him married. He wants to found a theater company. She just wants him married and settled. So, we have this dynamic back and forth because Ravi wants to found a theater company. He is in the performing arts, but we learn at the very beginning that his mother is not a dedicated actor. She's a housewife and as she describes, an abused mother, because over the course of this about 90-minute play, we see this back and forth as they wrestle with what his parents want to do in getting him married, not necessarily an arranged marriage, but having a very heavy hand in introducing him to his future wife.
