We didn't have spaces where we could come and speak our minds and organize.
-Gay organizations were mainly run by white gay men.
-We wanted to have a space that did not exclude race, immigrants, people who spoke a different language, it was this family of other queer Latinos, gay men and lesbians.
-We made life better for queers of color because we make the world better.
