The best time to visit is the holidays, especially it's a great time if you haven't been to Fairlawn before, because it kind of gives you a little taste of what it is like to visit here and then you can come back for a guided tour and really get into the deep history and architecture of the home.
Fairlawn Mansion was the home for Grace and Martin Pattison.
They lived here from 1890 until Martin passed away in 1918, and then it was a children's home for 42 years before it turned into a museum.
Christmas and the holidays were very important for Victorians, so we create with, recreate Victorian holidays with all of our holiday decor and celebrate the winter season here.
We decorate every single floor.
