We're doing Alice in Wonderland as an immersive and site specific theater performance, which means that we're here on the grounds of Glensheen, and Glensheen is actually like the main character of the play. So when audiences come see this show, they're not going to sit in chairs. The actors aren't going to come on and off a stage. The audience is going to follow the actors through these beautiful grounds. For our show, it follows Alice and I and I have to deliver all of the invitations for the queen's big party to each of the characters have their own little scene. And Alice stumbles in and she ruins everything. Because we had so much more different and unique space to play with. That isn't just this rectangle that we're so used to. And so, honestly, a lot of the blocking kind of came naturally, just using like the steps of Glensheen and like there's a creek and some of the beach area. Hi, I'm Miekla Anderson. I am playing White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland at Glensheen a UMD theater production. I think people are really enjoying it. It's just so thrilling to be like in such close contact with the audience to be able to engage with them and like meet them through the story. It's super fun. The slice from WDSE-WRPT.
