IT IS NAMED AFTER Dr. THOMAS

KIRKBRIDE, WHO WAS A PHYSICIAN

IN PENNSYLVANIA IN THE 1800s

WHO TOOK CARE OF MENTALLY ILL

PEOPLE.

THE NAME TO OUR BUILDING THAT

WE ARE IN WAS BUILT IN 1895.

THE BUILDING WAS ENTIRELY

VACATED IN 2009.

THE FINAL CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY

PATIENTS MOVED OUT AND

FOLLOWED SHORTLY THEREAFTER BY

THE ADMINISTRATION.

HISTORIC PRESERVATION IS

IMPORTANT AND LANDMARKS ARE

IMPORTANT.

IT GIVES US A SENSE OF

IDENTITY OF WHERE WE CAME

FROM.

THIS KIRKBRIDE BUILDING WAS A

MAJOR PART OF THE GROWTH OF

FERGUS FALLS.

MANY MANY PEOPLE WORKED HERE.

MANY MANY PEOPLE HAVE A HUGE

CONNECTION TO THIS BUILDING.

AND WHAT TOOK PLACE HERE.

THIS WAS THE ADMINISTRATION

AREA.

OVER THERE WAS

Dr. PATTERSON'S OFFICE.

OUR TOURS HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY

POPULAR.

WE HAVE HAD OVER 9,000 PEOPLE

TAKE OUR TOURS.
