Now, Governor Andy Beshear says if he's reelected next month, he will serve the full four year term. The Lexington Herald leaders editorial board interviewed the governor. He says if he's reelected, he will not run for the U.S. Senate in 2026. Now, that's the year U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell's seat would be up. Senator McConnell hasn't said if he's running again. The governor says he will serve a full second term and he does not know what he will do after that. Attorney General Daniel Cameron has said he would serve two full terms if he is elected next month as governor. The Herald-Leader says it has also invited Daniel Cameron to meet with the editorial board, but so far he has not responded. More on the governor's interview with the Herald-Leader and my interview with Daniel Cameron ahead as I talk to public radio journalist Ryland Barton.
