OF WHAT THE GOVERNOR WANTS, SOME
OF WHICH IS IN THE HOUSE PLAN.
I THINK THE SENATE THINKS THE
LOCAL GOVERNMENT PART OF THE
HOUSE PLAN IS VERY GOOD SO I
THINK YOU'RE GOING TO SEE A
HYBRID OF THE TWO BEFORE IT'S
OVER BUT NOT WITH TAX INCREASES.
THE DEMOCRATS IN THE HOUSE, THEY
DIDN'T WANT HOUSE INCREASES, THE
SENATE DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS
SAID THEY DIDN'T WANT TAX
INCREASES SO YOU'RE NOT GOING TO
HAVE A TAX INCREASE.
WILL THE GOVERNOR GET HIS

GENERAL ASSEMBLY IS ALL ABOUT

ACTIVISM THAT'S COMING AND YOU
SEE THE ALLIANCES THAT ARE BEING
MADE BY THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.

ANNOUNCED TO THE PEOPLE ABOUT
THE WAY THEY'LL LOSE THEIR JOBS.
I'M NOT SO SURE IN THIS DAY AND
AGE HOW YOU PENALIZE A COMPANY
FOR DOING THAT BASED ON THE FREE
TRADE POLICIES THAT WE HAVE IN
PLACE IN THIS GOVERNMENT.

IT'S A COMPLEX THAT COULD
SOMEDAY INCLUDE A 20,000-SEAT
STADIUM.
AIRPORT DIRECTOR MARIO RODRIGUEZ
SAYS THE GOAL IS TO HELP THE
LOCAL ECONOMY.
IT'S BEEN THE VISION OF THE
STAFF TO IMPROVE THE ECONOMIC

NOW, SINCE THAT ANNOUNCEMENT
WAS MADE A VOTE BY THE AIRPORT
AUTHORITY BOARD HAS BEEN DELAYED
BECAUSE OF QUESTIONS ABOUT THE
FINANCING, HERE, WILL THIS
PROJECT COME ABOUT?
I DON'T KNOW, THE FINANCING,
OBVIOUSLY, THE "IBJ,"
"INDIANAPOLIS BUSINESS JOURNAL"
BROUGHT UP SOME REAL CONCERNS
ABOUT THAT AND YOU'VE HAD A
CHANGE IN ADMINISTRATION AND THE
NEW ADMINISTRATION WANTS TO LOOK
AT THIS AND MAKE SURE THAT IT'S
FEESBLE.
THE CONCEPT SOUNDS TERRIFIC BUT
WE NEED TO MAKE SURE IT'S ON
GOOD, SOUND, FINANCIAL FOOTING
BEFORE WE GO AHEAD WITH IT.
WE TALKED ABOUT ONE OF THE
OTHER PROPOSALS THAT INVOLVED
THIS LAND WHICH INVOLVED A
CASINO.
THAT WAS REJECTED, OBVIOUSLY.

HAPPEN IN DOWNTOWN INDIANAPOLIS.
BUT THIS ONE, THE REASON THEY
GAVE FOR THIS ONE OVER THE
CASINO WAS BECAUSE THEY FELT IT
INVOLVED MORE PEOPLE IN THEIR
DAILY LIVES.
SO I -- AS ANN SAID, YOU KNOW,
IF THEY CAME TO THE DOOR WITH
THEIR FINANCING IN PLACE, I
THINK THIS WOULD GIVE EVERYBODY
A LOT MORE COMFORT.

IT SEEMS LIKE MAYBE THIS SHOULD
HAVE BEEN WORKED OUT A LITTLE
BETTER BY THIS POINT, DOESN'T

I MEAN, YOU CAN'T FABRICATE --
CREATE AN INTEREST THAT ISN'T
