(doorbell) DEIRDRE: Welcome to house number three. CHRISTINE: Wow. JOHN: Wow, this is a doozy. CHRISTINE: Mm-hmm. DEIRDRE: So, you are in the Byrneley Views neighborhood. When this neighborhood was built, it was supposed to be one house per acre. So, you have a lot of land here. But recently, a lot of people have come in and kind of torn it down, and built new homes just like this. JOHN: Well, you can see the classic homes, you know, right next door. CHRISTINE: Mm-hmm. JOHN: You can see what the neighborhood was and what it's becoming. CHRISTINE: Right. DEIRDRE: Right. So, this is a new beautiful home... CHRISTINE: Mm-hmm. DEIRDRE: With modern finishes and I can't wait to show it to you. Let's go. JOHN: Okay. Wow. CHRISTINE: Talk about a statement piece as soon as you walk in the door. What a modern contemporary vibe. JOHN: Well, Tina, there's an old trend called WYSIWYG, and it stands for what you see is what you get. And in this house, that's the case because you can see the whole floor from here. CHRISTINE: We have to just take in this space. JOHN: Okay, well first, uh, we're getting a reverse view... CHRISTINE: Right. JOHN: Of the foyer. And from here, you can see all of the amazing windows in the front too. CHRISTINE: Well, you didn't notice those when you came in. JOHN: No, too many things to look at. Okay, the living room. So modern, so on trend right now. CHRISTINE: Talk about entertaining space. JOHN: So, when you have 200 of your very best friends over... CHRISTINE: We don't have that many friends. JOHN: No, no, we don't. CHRISTINE: No. No. JOHN: But, you can all gather around this lovely electric fireplace. Very chic and very fun. And, I love that this builder put in an official wine bar in the living room, complete with a wine rack, a wine fridge, and the floating shelves with lighting... CHRISTINE: Mm-hmm. JOHN: So that you can put your Baccarat crystal there... CHRISTINE: No! JOHN: And it could be illuminated so pretty. CHRISTINE: No, no, no, no, my Elvis glass collection would look perfect. JOHN: That would look super. CHRISTINE: That's it. JOHN: That would really go with the house... CHRISTINE: That is it. JOHN: I think. CHRISTINE: So, when we do get those 200 friends or some friends... JOHN: You need a really good kitchen, right? CHRISTINE: And I think we have that right here. Can we just start with the pendant lights? JOHN: They're groovy. CHRISTINE: This design that it leaves is so pretty. JOHN: Yeah, but that's a very cool detail. CHRISTINE: Right. You know, everything so far has been very purposely designed. JOHN: Yes. CHRISTINE: And, when I look at how the appliances blend right in with the cabinets and the hardware, it just looks like one cohesive wall. JOHN: Very intentional. CHRISTINE: Mm-hmm. But I do like the contrast with the white cabinets. JOHN: I do as well. CHRISTINE: Right. JOHN: And I love the marble back splash. CHRISTINE: Well, I was gonna talk about this range hood. It almost looks like it's an art piece in the kitchen. JOHN: Wow. We've seen today a house from the '60s. CHRISTINE: Mm-hmm. JOHN: We just saw that gorgeous house from the '70s... CHRISTINE: '70s. JOHN: Which I love. And now we're seeing this house which is very au courant, if you will, which means like, it's very now, very, very happy. CHRISTINE: Oh, I learn so much from you. JOHN: No, no, in François, s'vous plait. CHRISTINE: Oh my gosh. JOHN: In François. CHRISTINE: Keep moving. JOHN: Okay, we have our first full bath. CHRISTINE: You know, take a look at this shower. Again, the fixtures, rain head shower head. JOHN: And you know what I'm appreciating in this room? The height of the ceilings. CHRISTINE: Well, you really feel it in the shower. JOHN: You see it in the shower too. CHRISTINE: I mean, if you're tall, you have no issue... JOHN: No. CHRISTINE: With this shower. And a shout out to the floating vanity. JOHN: Okay and what do we have here? We have... Oh, look at this. CHRISTINE: Oh, I thought it was a closet. JOHN: This is a bedroom, really. One level living, right? CHRISTINE: Definitely. JOHN: All right. Let's go and check out... CHRISTINE: The upstairs. JOHN: Okay, to this landing where we can take this all in. CHRISTINE: Well, you really do see how big the space is when you're standing right here. JOHN: And from up here, we can appreciate another lovely light which we missed... CHRISTINE: Right. JOHN: When we came in the door 'cause there were too many things to look at. CHRISTINE: Let's check this room out. JOHN: Okay. Big windows. CHRISTINE: You know, it's long. JOHN: Look at this window in the front... CHRISTINE: Oh nice. JOHN: It has like, a little transom window, if you will. Now there's a window that's different from a lot of windows we see. CHRISTINE: It is. JOHN: I hope we see more of those. CHRISTINE: Mm-hmm. JOHN: Okay, this little bedroom... CHRISTINE: Ah. JOHN: Has a little bathroom... CHRISTINE: Nice. JOHN: En suite. CHRISTINE: Right, and it's that same design throughout. JOHN: It goes with what we've seen... CHRISTINE: Exactly. JOHN: Already. CHRISTINE: All right. JOHN: And we have a little closet. Oh, look at this. Nice built-ins in a nice closet. CHRISTINE: That closet's three times the size of mine. JOHN: Some lucky kid... CHRISTINE: Mm-hmm. JOHN: Is gonna get that closet. Okay. CHRISTINE: Okay. JOHN: Into another bedroom. CHRISTINE: All right. Little bit bigger than the one we were just in. JOHN: Yup. CHRISTINE: Okay, let me check to see. I'm guessing a full bath, yes. Really nice tile work, rain shower head, floating vanity. What more do you need? JOHN: Oh, right. CHRISTINE: Very nice. JOHN: What's behind these doors? I want more. CHRISTINE: I'll check because I feel it could make another great entrance. JOHN: Another one. (gasps) CHRISTINE: It's a washer dryer. JOHN: Perfect, on the second level. CHRISTINE: Mm-hmm. JOHN: We love that. Okay, this must be the... CHRISTINE: Uh... JOHN: The primary suite. CHRISTINE: I would say it's the primary bedroom and there's your windows again. JOHN: They're those special windows, I love them. Hey, Tina, do you think this, uh, primary suite has a nice bathroom maybe? CHRISTINE: Ooh, I don't know. Uh, maybe. JOHN: Well, let's go check it out. CHRISTINE: Okay. It does. JOHN: And it's not a surprise, of course. It has an awesome bathroom for this room. CHRISTINE: Perfect. JOHN: We have the water closet to my right. And we haven't seen a tub like this, it's a very different shape. CHRISTINE: It is different. JOHN: I like it. CHRISTINE: Yeah. Double vanity. JOHN: Yup. Same materials in the other bathrooms... CHRISTINE: Right. JOHN: All cohesive. And, marble on the walls. CHRISTINE: That's... JOHN: I love that. CHRISTINE: Yeah. JOHN: Okay. I see something and I think I'm gonna cry. Let's check this out. CHRISTINE: You all right? JOHN: Yeah, I was right. It's... CHRISTINE: Oh, wow... JOHN: Just a walk-in closet. CHRISTINE: Look at this space. JOHN: It's like... I think I could fill this up by myself. CHRISTINE: Oh, you could? JOHN: I, yeah, I'd give a... CHRISTINE: Okay. JOHN: Team try to do that actually. CHRISTINE: Oh, that's the spirit. JOHN: Yeah. CHRISTINE: Okay. Well, we have one more floor, we've got the basement yet. JOHN: Oh, we do have the basement. CHRISTINE: Mm-hmm. JOHN: Let's go down and check it out. CHRISTINE: All right, talk about the rec room of rec rooms. I see ping pong table, pool table, golf range, big screen TV. JOHN: And probably room for not much more after that. Thank God you didn't block the, uh, nice bar back here with... CHRISTINE: Ooh. JOHN: All your stuff. But, maybe a pinball machine. CHRISTINE: Ooh, nice. JOHN: Yeah. CHRISTINE: Nice. JOHN: Yeah. CHRISTINE: And, let's take a look. We have a full bath. This is the simplest of the bathrooms that we've seen and it's still a nice bathroom, but it fits for a rec room. JOHN: Yeah. Let's check out this room. Oh. CHRISTINE: It would make a great play room. JOHN: Or even just use it for storage. CHRISTINE: Whatever your needs are. JOHN: Oh, right. CHRISTINE: Okay. JOHN: Let's go find Deirdre. CHRISTINE: Hey, Deirdre. DEIRDRE: Hey, guys. What did you think? CHRISTINE: Well, you're standing at the focal point of the house. JOHN: Yeah. This foyer is grand. DEIRDRE: It goes with the open concept... JOHN: Yes. DEIRDRE: 'Cause you can see through everything. CHRISTINE: So as far as open concept, I don't think it gets much better than this. It is just a really large space. It's great for families, parties, I mean, it really is a great entertaining home. JOHN: This is really the new trend in homes. DEIRDRE: The one thing that I really love about this home is there's a bedroom on the main level, perfect for multi-generational. JOHN: Can we talk about that primary suite? Okay, it had a nice bedroom. CHRISTINE: Oh, but then when you walked around and you saw that bathroom. I mean, it had all the bells and whistles. DEIRDRE: My dream bathroom for sure. JOHN: And then the cherry on the cake was the walk-in closet. DEIRDRE: I know. There's not much not to like about this home. JOHN: To be honest, this house was so big, I lost track of how many bedrooms, how many bathrooms. So, why don't you run through the stats for us one more time? DEIRDRE: It's five bedrooms, five bathrooms, 3700 square foot, built in 2022, 0.5 acres, three car garage. JOHN: This house has the wow factor from the second you step into it and I'm gonna give you a guess of $1,375,000. CHRISTINE: Mm. DEIRDRE: Very good. CHRISTINE: My thought is actually $1.3. DEIRDRE: The list price is $1,450,000. CHRISTINE: Oh, nice. JOHN: Yeah. DEIRDRE: Nice, John. CHRISTINE: Two homes in Annandale for you. JOHN: Two homes in Annandale. It's been my sweet spot, what can I say? So, I really don't wanna leave Annandale now.
