(upbeat music) - I'm Starla Sampaco in the Crosscut KCTS 9 Newsroom. A new Crosscut/Elway poll of likely Washington voters shows Democrats maintaining a broad advantage in some races for US Congress and the Legislature. But Republicans have gained some ground since a similar poll in July. 22% of voters cited the economy, gas prices, or jobs as an important factor when choosing a state lawmaker. 16% cited abortion as a big factor with 58% of voters disagreeing with the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Meanwhile, Senator Patty Murray, a Democrat, leads GOP Challenger, Tiffany Smiley, 50% to 37%, down for Murray's 20-point lead in July. Washington's Secretary of State, Steve Hobbs, a Democrat, narrowly leads non-partisan candidate, Julie Anderson, 31% to 29% while 40% are undecided. I'm Starla Sampaco.
