HE RAISED OVER THE TWO YEARS

 

ABOUT $1.5 BILLION FROM EITHER

 

NATURALLY OCCURRING REVENUE JUST

COLLECTIONS OR FROM NEW REVENUE

ATTRACTIVE AND SO HE'S OFFERED

 

THEM A 1% PAY RAISE FOR EACH OF

 

THE NEXT TWO YEARS WHICH REALLY

 

ISN'T GOING TO KEEP UP WITH THE

 

COST OF LIVING STILL.

 

AND IT'S WORTH POINTING OUT, AND

 

THIS ISN'T MEANT TO BE A KNOCK

 

ON THE GOVERNOR BUT A 1%

 

INCREASE, A 1% INCREASE FOR

 

HIGHER ED, A 1% INCREASE FOR

 

SCHOOLS, NEXT YEAR THE FEDERAL

 

GOVERNMENT ESTIMATES THAT

 

INFLATION WILL BE ABOUT 2.1%, SO

 

THESE VERY MODEST INCREASES.

 

IN SPENDING PROBABLY WON'T EVEN

 

KEEP UP WITH THE COST OF

 

LIVING.
